To trade premarket or after hours ( extended hours ) when you submit an order you must put in your order details “ext day” or “extended hours”
Also: ONLY limit orders are allowed during extended hours trading, no market orders allowed.
If you have it set to day, it will not execute until the regular market hours and by then the price you want is gone.
